Stuff = Distraction

Keep your life simple. If you find yourself gathering things just to have stuff or just because you want to buy something, you'll soon start to stray away from diligently following the Lord. It's easy to get off tract and the enemy is quick to help you do so. This life is not about things. The bible shares one of the most well known verses concerning this matter.

What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? - Mark 8:36

We've all heard the old saying, "You can't take it with you." That's right, but you can send it on ahead.  Every time we give to the work of the Kingdom, we send it on ahead of us into our heavenly bank account. Paul tells us about the heavenly bank account in Philippians.

Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account. - Philippians 4:17

I believe we can draw on this heavenly bank account when we need to. Jesus withdraws for us and moves someone's heart to release it. Trust me, there are obedient servants out there who do as he says. So, the next time you feel the urge to buy something that may just collect dust, consider your heavenly bank account. Sow into the Kingdom instead and the funds will be there for what you really need to buy and not something that will cause a distraction in your spiritual life.

  1. PLEASE PLEASE I PRAY YOU READ MY MESSAGE! 🙏

Pastor Tom, I need a word from the Lord.
    My name is Tim.

I know the Lord uses you.

I am an evangelist and have been serving the Lord for several years now, but I have a list of injuries in my body.

    I have eye sight problems
    Sinus issues.
Problems with muscles in the right side of my neck and my upper back.
I’ve have shoulder problems in my right shoulder for several years now, including shoulder impingement and tendinitis, with pain in my right shoulder.

I have an imbalance in my hip muscles which causes me to have tightness in my hamstrings and pain in my knees.

And I have a torn tendon or muscle (i’m not sure which one) in my right ankle which causes it to click and make loud snapping sounds.

I also have flat feet on both feet in which case I have to use orthotics or else I get pain throughout my ankles and knees.

I used to be an athlete and train to compete and I know that I have caused much of this to myself through injuries in the past.

But over the years I have learned and take care of myself and try not to abuse my body.

I’ve been praying for years now that God heal me.

I’ve fasted, had ministers lay hands on me for prayer 🙏.

I have become very sad lately and at times lose hope.

I don’t know what to do anymore. I feel very useless and that my body can’t do the things that it used to do anymore.

I know God can heal me and has a plan for my life, but I don’t see it.

Please please if anything if the Lord can give you a word of knowledge for my life.
What do I need to do?

Please contact me if the Lord leads you to do so.

God bless you servant of the Lord.

  2. well said, Thomas.
I am pleased that more and more, I'm wanting to only spend money on things that HE wants me to have.
Hopefully a sign of some real growth. I want to keep a steady mind and attitude about that though. One moment at a time.
